Job Description

Initially the position is principally workshop based, although there may be a possibility in the future for site visits to be undertaken, whereby equipment would be calibrated, serviced and/or repaired on customers' premises. Travelling expenses and/or transport will be provided as appropriate. A clean full UK driving licence is therefore required.

The post-holder shall be qualified to a minimum of OND level, (or equivalent) or higher and relevant practical experience working in a medical engineering or servicing environment would be an advantage. A clean, full UK driving licence is required. There would be 21 days plus all statutory UK holidays.

Responsibilities: · Maintain and repair medical & other electronic equipment supplied and supported by the Company in accordance with the Company quality procedures. · Maintain up to date service records in accordance with the Company quality procedures. · Assist with the booking in and out of equipment for service and repair · Assist with in-house support for the Company's computer systems, software and network. · Assemble, configure and prepare equipment to customer requirements prior to despatch. · Ensure appropriate stock levels of service spares and accessories are maintained. · Expansion of the services provided by the Company will result in on-site work becoming necessary. · Carry out other tasks as requested to ensure smooth running of the department and Company.

Qualities Required: · You will be self-motivating and able to work unassisted at times. · You will be experienced and proficient at fault finding to board and occasionally component level. · You will be proficient in soldering and de-soldering techniques. · A good fundamental understanding of Windows operating systems in a Windows networking environment is required. · You will have good verbal and written communication skills with people from all backgrounds and with people having varying levels of technical skills and abilities. · As site visits may be required, you will be smart and presentable and have a pleasant and confident manner.
